EXT25 Casualty Extraction Trainer
Train your teams to extract, assess and treat under realistic load with the EXT25 Casualty Extraction Trainer, a full-body pre-hospital trauma training manikin designed for fire and rescue, military, ambulance and USAR teams.
Built on the proven Ruth Lee Duty manikin, EXT25 combines authentic drag-and-carry handling with the critical interventions specified for pre-hospital care, from supraglottic airway insertion and chest compressions to active haemorrhage control. Every scenario, from RTC to CASEVAC, feels as close to the real thing as possible.
Key Product Features:
- Escalating airway management: A grade 1/2 airway that responds to head positioning, with vocal cords visible on direct laryngoscopy. Accepts the full adjunct range – i-gel, LMA, ETT and oral airways – and delivers visible chest rise and fall with a BVM or a standard mechanical ventilator
- Realistic chest compressions: The compression site replicates the resistance and recoil of an adult male thorax, with 55kg force resistance, 55mm depth and passive return on release for true-to-life CPR practice
- Active haemorrhage control: A junctional packing wound accepts haemostatic and z-fold gauze, with correct packing depth achieving tamponade. A full-thickness forearm laceration trains tourniquet application, and an auxiliary push-to-connect port adds RIB haemorrhage wearables for more complex scenarios
- Instructor-controlled bleed system: A fully manual, mobile system with a hand-pumped 4-litre reservoir and independent rotary valves, giving instructors live control of each of the three bleed outputs during the scenario
- Complete trauma assessment landmarks: Anatomical hip profiles for pelvic binder palpation and tensioning, a chest overlay that accepts chest seals and defibrillation/electrode pads, intraosseous access, and gripping hands that support SpO2 finger-clip placement

EXT25 Casualty Extraction Trainer FAQ's
Which airway adjuncts are compatible with the EXT25?
EXT25 accepts i-gel sizes 4 and 5, LMA sizes 4 and 5, ETT sizes 7, 8 and 9, an ISO size 4 oral airway, an adult BVM and a Miller 4 laryngoscope, allowing teams to train the full manual, supraglottic and mechanical airway pathway.
Can the EXT25 be connected to a mechanical ventilator?
Yes. EXT25 connects to a standard mechanical ventilator. Accurate lung volume and dead space provide realistic ventilation resistance and visible chest rise and fall under positive pressure.
How does the bleed control system work?
The bleed system is fully manual. A 4-litre reservoir is pressurised with a hand pump and feeds an external manifold, where the instructor uses rotary valves to control the forearm laceration, the junctional packing wound and an auxiliary port independently.
Can the EXT25 be dragged and carried like a real casualty?
Yes. EXT25 is built on the Ruth Lee Duty manikin, chosen for its drag and extraction handling, load-bearing weight and durability. At 52 kg and 177 cm, it gives teams realistic handling when moving an incapacitated adult.
What warranty and training are included?
EXT25 comes with a 12-month warranty on the armature and structural components, extendable to 36 months. Silicone skins are excluded as they wear with normal use. Every purchase includes an online set-up and familiarisation session, with in-person operator training available at an additional cost; please contact us for more information.
